England Highlights
Tower of London
The Tower of London framed by the Tower Bridge, is a sight you musn't miss. Today you can see the Yeoman Warders, the crown jewels and the prison where former royalty was held and met their end.
Tate Modern
A museum of contemporary art is housed in the former Banside Power Station, near the Millennium Bridge.
St Paul's Cathedral
The present Cathedral, the masterpiece of Britain's most famous architect Sir Christopher Wren, is at least the fourth to have stood on the site. It was built between 1675 and 1710, after its predecessor was destroyed in the Great Fire of London, and services began in 1697.
Harrods and Fortnum & Mason
The two most impressive department stores in London. Great for private shopping tours or special events.
Windsor
Windsor makes for a lovely excursion. This town on the River Thames is home to Windsor Castle, a residence of the British Royal Family. You will also find Eton College in Windsor.
Westminster Abbey
Truly beautiful and it is still a working church. It was founded in 960 AD
Ireland Highlights
Cliffs of Moher
The Cliffs of Moher are a significant mark of Ireland which is often captured in photographs: over a length of eight kilometers the steep rock walls abruptly end in the Atlantic Ocean. From the viewing tower you will have a lovely view of the cliffs.
Dublin
Ireland's capital was founded by the Vikings. It is a very lively city, bursting with pubs and music. Make sure to pay a visit to Trinity College with its breathtaking library!
Glendalough
Old monestary district, mystic athmosphere. The monestary town was also used as a university town, and around 3000 monks and their students lived in this district. Today there are only ruins of the monestary left, but they are still witness of a rich past.
Horse racing
The Irish are keen on horse racing. If you get the chance, try to attend on of the events and find out about this spectacle yourself.
Scotland Highlights
Edinburgh
Edinburgh is simply stunning. It has a beautiful castle, the spires of the Old Town, a world-famous festival, the Princes Street Gardens and the Royal Mile.
Fort William & Lochaber
A popular tourist town in the shadow of Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis. In an area full of history and marvellous scenery where Rob Roy and Braveheart were filmed, this is a good place from which to explore West Highland Way and Glencoe. Skiing is available over the winter.
Glasgow
Scotland's largest city sits on the River Clyde. European City of Culture and UK City of Architecture and Design. It has numerous art galleries and museums including the famous Kelvingrove Art Gallery and The People's Palace. Culturally buzzing like Edinburgh, it is now second only to London in terms of shopping experiences in the UK. Wide range of accommodation from budget to 5 star luxury.
Loch Ness
This beautiful loch located near Inverness is shrouded in mystery. Tales of a large monster living deep beneath the dark expanses of Loch Ness have circulated the world since the first photograph emerged in 1933. Try and spot "Nessie" yourself, he's had more than 1000 sightings!
Loch Lomond
The largest expanse of fresh water in Britain, easily accessible from Glasgow. Ideal for activities including boat trips, watersports, golf and walking (close to the West Highland Way). Historically associated with Rob Roy, now part of Scotland's first national park (The Loch Lomond & the Trossachs National Park).
