Leisure program London
During this fantastic programs our excursions use public transport.
The excursions are included, but entrance fees and tickets for local transport are extra. In addition to our city tour and excursions there are many opportunities to get around on your own. We recommend the "Hop-on Hop-off" sightseeing bus which gives you the opportunity to get on and off at London's many attractions. Our tour guide is happy to help with tips and information. In the West End there are a large number of theatres clustered together that stage world-famous musicals and tickets can either be bought in advance at full price or on the same day there are often discounted prices available (about 30-50% off).
Offered Excursions
Westminster and the Shakespeare Globe Theatre
We take the underground to Westminster, from where we will start a tour of the most beautiful areas in London. During the walking tour we will admire the outside of the Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben; before crossing Westminster Bridge from where we will have a good view of the London Eye. Then we will walk along the south bank of the river passing street markets and street artists, before reaching the Tate Modern Gallery. Crossing the Millennium Bridge, the latest exclusively pedestrian bridge built in London we will arrive at St. Paul’s Cathedral for a photo stop and a view of the exterior. Crossing back over the river we will visit the Shakespeare Globe Theatre, a faithful reconstruction of the original that was destroyed during a fire. At the end of the visit you will be free to explore the riverside, visiting the Tate Modern (entrance free of charge) or continuing to Borough Market, a vibrant and authentic metropolitan market, the ideal place for lovers of street food and international cuisine just one step away from London’s tallest skyscraper, the Shard.
Connemara program idea
Full day dedicated to the beautiful and green Connemara region, including a visit to the historic Kylemore Abbey.
Kylemore Abbey is also known for its Victorian Walled Garden. Built in the late 1800s by Mitchell Henry, he created an estate that would showcase what could be achieved in the remote wilds of Connemara. Today Kylemore Abbey is owned and run by the Benedictine community who have been in residence here since 1920.
Come to Kylemore and experience woodland and lakeshore walks, magnificent buildings and Ireland’s largest Walled Garden!
Free time for lunch during the day.
Harry Potter program London
We take a direct train from Euston Station to Watford Junction, from where there is a shuttle bus to the Warner Brothers Studios.
Entrance at 10.30am (subject to availability)* for the visit “ The making of Harry Potter”.
During the self-guided tour at the studios you can see the original sets of the films based on the novels about the famous little magician together with the original costumes, the projects and prototypes of the digitally animated characters and the videos made during the filming.
With a supplement on site, in the interactive part you can be the protagonist of the most famous scenes yourself, discovering the visual effects techniques. Visitors can stay as long as they wish until the attraction closes at 18.00.
Fort William and the Isle of Skye
Fort William/Oban – Isle of Skye/Kyle of Lochalsh – Inverness area
Travel north to Mallaig, with a stop at Glenfinnan monument to admire the gorgeous valley and stone railway bridge seen in the Harry Potter Movies in Fort William.
Here you can experience the stunning scenery but also the special atmosphere. The famous Glenfinnan viaduct carries the railway to Glenfinnan Station across a 1,000 ft span, 100 ft above the ground. The Jacobite steam train runs from here to Fort William and Mallaig in summer months with regular trains available the rest of the year.
The filming of the second and third Harry Potter books, Harry Potter and the Chambers of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban took place in this area with the Hogwarts Express calling at Glenfinnan!
Please be aware that trespassing on the railway line is extremely dangerous and visitors should stay clear of the tracks at all times.
Isle of Skye
